As we know the worldwide economy is growing very fast. This growth is affecting the future of our planet and us.
Economic growth is very important for every country without the development they will be poor countries. When the country is developing, it provides employment opportunities for many people because there will be many companies and factories. Also, people like to be in developed cities so they can achieve their ambitions and dreams. Also, people like to live in a developed country that provides health care for them and their children. Also, people like for their children to grow up in a richer environment and be in a good schools and universities.
On the other hand, our environment is more important for us. But it is changing while we are developing. These changes are affecting us also. Many scientists believe that climate change is a threat to the future of the planet. As we know the amount of carbon dioxide emissions is increasing dramatically because of the factories and companies. This leads to global warming. This mean the climate will be very high in some places than others. Also, the sea levels are rising because of melting ice in north and south poles which leads to other things like floods. Another thing that happens when the climate changes is drought. Many people are dying for these things.
In conclusion, I think that economic growth and environment are very important for us. But we should not damage our environment and try to make economic growth that helps the environment.

Population Growth
The line graph shows the world population growth in less developed countries and more developed countries between 1750 and 2150. This information is based on the United Nations World Population Prospects, the 1998 Revision, and estimates by the Population Reference Bureau.
In the first two centuries the population growth was very slow in poorer and richer countries. In 1750 the total world population was less than one billion in both poorer and richer countries. The population of less developed countries was three or four times greater than that of more developed countries. From 1950 to 2000 the population growth was very fast. By 2000 the population growth in poor countries was 5.1 billion, but only about 1 billion in richer countries. They estimate that by 2150 the total world population will be around or over 10 billion in poorer countries, but for richer countries it will remain about one billion. It may even drop slightly.

Mobile phones and driving
Most people think that using a mobile phone while driving causes accidents. Many studies show that the number of accidents will increase if we use mobile phones.
I disagree with banning the mobile phone while driving because I think that the mobile is a necessary thing in our life. Also, it helps us to communicate with friends and families if we are not with them. Furthermore, I think that the mobile phones help us if we are in a remote area for example, in the desert if we get lost so it helps us. Another thing that mobile phones are helpful for is in the case of women, when they have car problems in the engine or tire so they can use the phones. Also, mobile phones help us to kill the boredom in us while we are driving or sitting.
On the other hand I think that driving the car and playing with your mobile phone should not be at the same time. Nowadays I think that driving the car needs more concentration on the road and on the other cars. I think that the driver should stop in a good place to use his or her phone to keep him or her safe. In the UAE the government put some laws that forbid using mobile phones while driving. Another thing is that drivers who are using mobile phones do not risk only his or her own life but also the other drivers around him or her.

Traffic congestion and parking issues
Nowadays, Abu Dhabi is suffering from traffic congestion and parking problems. The government wants to solve this problem. In this essay I will show you causes of this problem and give you some solution for it.
There are many causes that affect traffic congestion and parking issues. First of all, we know that Abu Dhabi is a small island and the place is crowded. Another thing is that the population is increasing which leads to more cars for each person. Also, the industry and commerce in Abu Dhabi is increasing rapidly which leads to more trucks and vans to transfer the products that they produce. Furthermore, the tourism in Abu Dhabi is increasing year by year because of new buildings, great places, beaches and hotels which lead to more taxis. This affects traffic. Also more traffic leads to more stress on the drivers and that makes more accidents.
There are some solutions that may help to overcome the traffic congestion and the parking problems. First of all the government is trying to build a metro which will make the travel easy for some people and may decrease the amount of cars. Another solutions is that the government forcing the companies that build new buildings to have underground parking. It helps to solve the parking issue. Also, the government is trying to change the construction of the streets to make bridges, overpasses and underpasses and this makes less traffic congestion.
In conclusion, I think that the metro will help to decrease the amount of cars, but it’s expensive. Also the underground parking will help to solve parking issues. This makes the streets less crowded

Age of marriage
The bar chart and the table give us some information about the age of marriage. The bar chart shows us the decline in the percentage of women aged 15 to 19 who are married in some Arab countries. The table shows us the age of first marriage between men and women in 14 countries.
The bar chart shows that in all 6 countries the percentage of 15-19 years old brides has fallen over the past 3-4 decades. The bar chart shows that the percent has declined dramatically in UAE from 57% to 8%. The falls in Libya and Kuwait are also striking. But the fall in Palestine did not change dramatically.
The table shows that in all countries the age of first marriage in men is between med twenties to late twenties. On the other hand, for the women is between early twenties to med twenties.
In conclusion the age of marriage is changing dramatically in Arab countries. Women get married in their early twenties. On the other hand men get married in their late twenties.

UK budget 1996
The total budget of the UK government in 1996 was £315 billion. This pie chart shows what the government spent the money on. There are ten separate categories shown on the chart.
The biggest item by far was social security. At £100 billion, this was almost twice as much as the next category, health and personal services. Next came education with £38 billion and defence with £22 billion. There was less than £20 billion spent on the next three categories, which were: first, law and order; next, industry, agriculture and employment; then, housing, heritage and environment. Transport had the smallest budget, with £9 billion. Debt interest was £25 billion and other expenditure was £23 billion.

Date producing countries in 2001
The bar graph shows date production in tonnes for the world's top producers in 2001. Ten countries in the Gulf region and North Africa are featured.
First, Egypt was responsible for the lion's share of production, with over a million tonnes, but Iran was a close second, with almost 0.9 million. Following them came the UAE and Saudi Arabia, rivalling each other with about 740,000 tonnes each. Pakistan and Iraq, with outputs of approximately 630,000, were not far behind. The rest of the nations, however, were far less productive. Algeria supplied the world with nearly 400,000 tonnes and Oman around quarter of a million. In contrast, the harvests in Libya and Sudan were far less plentiful, yielding under 0.2 million each.

This table describes the different specifications of four types of car. It gives details of price, country of origin, engine capacity and fuel consumption.
Clearly, the most expensive of the four is the Volkswagen Golf. There is very little to choose between the other three. The German Volkswagen has the biggest engine at 1600cc. The Japanese Toyota Corolla and the American Ford Focus both have a capacity of 1400cc, with the Japanese Nissan Micra being the smallest in engine size with 1200cc. Not surprisingly, the smallest, the Micra, is the most economical in terms of fuel consumption and the Volkswagen the least so. Both the Ford and the Toyota are between the other two, and very similar in terms of fuel consumption.

The table gives us some information about two strong winds. It shows the differences between hurricanes and tornadoes in some features like minimum and maximum wind speed, their classification scale, duration, average width of storm and average number per year…etc.
We can see from the table that the minimum wind speed of tornadoes is 40 mph less than hurricanes at 74 mph. Also the maximum wind speed of tornadoes is higher than hurricanes. It reaches to 250-300 mph. In addition to that we see that the hurricanes last one week. On the other hand, tornadoes last only a few minutes or hours. They use the Saffir-Simpson C1-C5 to scale for the hurricanes and the Fujita F0-F5 to scale the tornadoes. The width of the hurricanes is 300 miles, more than tornadoes at 100-600 meters. Furthermore, the hurricanes start over warm oceans while the tornadoes start over the land. People can predict the hurricanes and tornadoes in advance. The hurricanes can be predicted 2-3 days in advance for a wide area. Also, it can usually be predicted more exactly where it will hit 6-10 hours beforehand. On the other hand, the tornadoes can be predicted only 20 minutes or less.
